Wyvern idea for 's fanfiction "Where the world ends"

Wyverns have two leathery wings with clawed hands, two legs, a scaley body, a dragon-like head with a toothy beak, a short flexible neck, and a long, thin tail tipped with a venomous, scorpion-like barb. Wyverns also have a bony crest on the back of their skulls, which is considerably larger and more colorful in the males of the species.
